I am from Brighton in England, but I live in Rome! Rome is the most beautiful city in the world and best enjoyed on foot! The combination of ancient ruins and beautiful parks make for incredible running.
I’m a coffee, gelato and fitness lover from the UK. I’ve been working in Rome since 2015, when I stumbled across the city with Harry on our interrail trip. The rustic alleyways, warm summer nights and incredible food had me hooked - I knew I had to stay here. I began studying local history straight away, and graduated into working as a tour guide in 2016. It feels crazy to say that was four years ago - it’s flown by. I’ve found that teaching others through tour-guiding has actually taught me a lot about myself - which makes it a really enjoyable, fascinating job. When I take my guide badge off a few things you might find me doing is running, muay thai kickboxing, watching sunsets, scuba-diving, meeting new people and experiencing new things.
When I was 21 I was super unfit, smoking and drinking. I hated every decision I made in life... to balance the bad decisions for my health out I started running. It was pure agony.... but I kept putting myself through it till I became fitter and learned to breathe. I used to struggle to run 5kilometers, and this year (October the 3rd) I will compete in the UMED 100 - a 100km race through the Sahara Desert. The sky is limit... and I found that through running.
I have been running for 4 years. I competed in a half marathon last year, and also one of the hardest marathons in the world - petra desert marathon. I came 9th with a time of 4 hours and 12 minutes. I finished 6th in the men's. I have been operating running tours via my website and airbnb for a while now and have now expanded to Sight Running Guide aswell.
