What is the process to book a SightRunning Tour?

1. Complete the booking forms and submit your booking.

2. Once submitted, your booking will be validated by the Tour Guide. 

3. You will be notified when your booking is validated and you will be requested to pay a deposit amount. 

4. When the deposit payment is received, your booking is completed and you will receive booking confirmation. 

What do I do if I don't receive my booking confirmation?

You should receive your booking confirmation via email once your booking is completed. 

In case, you don't see it, first check in your junk mail box, it might be hidden there. 

If you still didn't find any, contact us, we will resend the confirmation. 

What is the page "My account"?

This is your page that helps you better manage:

- Your tour bookings (Tours that you would like to purchase for your next destinations)

- Your profile

Can I cancel my booking?

Yes, you can, but all the cancelation is subject to our cancelation policy and you might not be fully refunded. For details, please check our cancelation policy in Terms and Conditions.

How do I easily follow my booking?

Click on "My account" - >My booking and you can easily see the status of your booking. 

When should I pay the remaining amount of my tour?

Once the deposit amount is received, your booking is completed. For the remaining amount, it should be paid directly to the Guide prior to the tour on the tour day, unless different arrangement is agreed between you and the tour guide. 

Can I become a SightRunning Tour Guide?

Yes, you are free to become a SightRunning Tour Guide and use our platform to sell your running tours. And that obviously won't prevent you booking a running tour either. 

 

Can I use my participant account as my guide account?

Yes, you can use the same email address to create a guide account, once your guide account is created, you can manage both your booking (as a participant) and your running tour orders (as a guide) at the same time in the page "My account". 

How do I become a SightRunning Tour Guide?

You just need to create a guide account by clicking on "Become a guide". Once your request is validated, you can start to add your running tours and sell them.

Can I change my tour?

Yes, but only for another tour organized by the same guide and on condition that the guide agrees. 

What if I missed the tour due to late arrival?

If you miss your tour because of your late arrival, you will not be refunded. You can participate another tour if the guide agrees.

But follow common sense, please always advise the guide in case of any unforeseen delays so that he could arrange things for you on a best-effort basis.

What if the tour guide didn't show up?

You should file a complaint to SightRunningGuide.com and you will be refunded the full amount of what you paid.

Payment and Cancelation policy

Payment :

When a participant books a tour via SightRunningGuide.Com and once the booking is validated by the guide, a 20% of deposit on the total purchase amount should be paid in order to secure the booking. 

Once the 20% of deposit amount is received, the tour is considered as booked.

The remaining amount (80%) should be paid to the guide directly by the participant prior to the tour on the tour day. 

Cancelation policy:

For participants:


- The 20% deposit of your purchase is not refundable if you cancel your booking at any time after your booking is confirmed.
- If the cancelation request is from the Running Guide, we will arrange another similar tour on our best efforts' basis. If no suitable tour is found, you will be refunded the total amount.
- If you don't show up for any reason or miss the tour departure time, you will not be refunded. We strongly recommend you to advise your guide well in advance for any inconvenience.
- In case the tour should be canceled due to natural disaster, you will be refunded 80% of the paid amount, but any natural disasters that are not warned about by the Belgian authorities should not be considered valid for refund.

As a SightRunning Tour Guide, am I employed by SightRunningGuide.com?

No, you are not employed by SightRunningGuide.com, you just use SightRunningGuide.com as a platform to promote and sell your running tours. Please check our Terms and Conditions for details. 

What are our basic requirements for SightRunning Guides?

Be respectful: Make guests feel welcome and comfortable, we do not tolerate any discrimination of any kind. We should all belong to a global running community where everyone can truly belong.

Good understanding of SightRunning Concept: This is not a race, nor a training session, but visit in running mode, so you should be able to adapt to the speed of your guests

Know well your tour: Prepare well your tour, including the facts and history of the momument that you are going to show your guests

Be responsive: Maintain a high response rate by replying to booking inquiries and reservation requests within 24 hours.

Accept reservation requests: Make your biggest effort to accept reservation requests based on your personal agenda.

Be proactive: Once the booking is confirmed, contact your guests proactively, pass all the necessary information to your guests prior to the tour date.

Avoid cancellations: We take cancellations seriously and ask all tour guides to avoid cancelling on guests–their travel plans depend on it.

Offer a high quality of service: A high level quality of service would make the tour a pleasant experience for your guests and their positive feedback would help you gain future guests

How do participants book my tours and how am I paid?

1. The participant will complete the booking forms and submit his booking.

2. Once submitted, you will have to validate the booking by changing the status in the page "My account" - "My orders", you have maximum 48h to validate the booking request.

3. The participant will pay the deposit amount (20%) once they are notified the booking is validated.

4. When the deposit payment is paid, Sightrunningguide.com will charge 10% of the total tour amount for us to continue to offer good services and we will pay you the other 10% as deposit amount. Once you receive the deposit amount, the tour booking is considered as completed.

5. The rest of the amount (80%) should be paid to you directly by the participant prior to the tour on the tour date.

Can I book running tours with my Guide Account?

Yes, you can book running tours with your Guide Account and follow your bookings in the page "My account". 

What is the page "My account"?

As a Sightrunning Guide, this is your page that helps you better manage:

- Your Sightrunning Tours

- Your orders received from guests

- Your own bookings (Tours that you would like to purchase for your next destinations)

- Your profile

How do I manage my Tours, Bookings and Orders?

Go to "My account". You have "My tours", "My orders", "My booking" and "My profile", you can easily manage and follow them.

Can I cancel a booked tour?

Only under limited circumstances and you will have to refund SightRunningGuide.com all the paid amount to your account plus a service fee. Please check cancelation policy in Terms and Conditions for details. Unfortunately, if this happens frequently, we will then have to close your account as Guide. 

Who can become a SightRunning Tour Guide?

Anyone that has passion in running and would love to show people his hometown. So basic communication skills and knowledge of sights you would like to you are necessary. Check in the FAQ's our basic requirement for SightRunning Guides. But you’re in full control of your availability, prices, tour rules, and how you interact with guests. We are there to bring all the runners together and build a nice Sightrunning Community that everyone belongs to.

How much does it cost to list my running tour?

It is free to sign up as a SightRunning Tour Guide and list your running tours.

Once you receive reservation, we charge a service fee of 10% of the total amount to help us run the business and to continue to offer you a good service.

How should I choose my tours' prices?

The price you charge for your tour is completely up to you. To help you decide, you can search for comparable tours in your city or neighbohood to get an idea of market prices. But of course, the price you ask definitely depends on what you offer as well, so balance the market price and what you offer in your program to help you get the right price for your tour, but remember to well describe in your tour details to provide to participants solid reasons why your tour is more than worth of the price you ask.

How do I create a tour?

Log yourself in and go to "My account", click "My tours", then "Add a tour".

Once the tour details are completed, click "Save", your tour will appear online once it's approved by the administrator.

Payment and Cancelation Policy

Payment :

When a participant books your tour via SightRunningGuide.Com and once the booking is validated by the guide, a 20% of deposit on the total purchase amount should be paid in order to secure the booking.

Sightrunningguide.com will deduct a 10% of totoal purchase amount for us to continue to offer good service and the tour guide will receive the other 10% of the total amount as deposit. Once the guide receives the 10% deposit amount, the tour is considered as booked.

The remaining amount (80%) should be paid to the guide directly by the participant prior to the tour on the tour day. 

Cancelation policy:

For SightRunning Tour Guide:


- If you cancel the tour afer the booking is completed, you should refund the 10% of the deposit plus a 10 euro service fee. But please remember that if this happens repeatedly, we will might have to close your account at our sole discretion. We highly recommend you to arrange with the participants for any inconvenience.
- If participant cancels the tour for any non-natural disaster reasons, you will keep the 10% deposit. 
- If participant does not show up or missed the agreed departure time, you will keep the 10% deposit, but we are all there for a happy tour, so communicate between you to arrange any inconveniences at your best efforts.
